The iconic heavyweight world champion will face YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul on November 15 in the first boxing match to be broadcast live on Netflix. Many fans feel that he is too old to be making a comeback, particularly given how he has look in his last few fights
Tyson’s final professional bout in 2005 saw him quit on the stool against the relatively unknown Kevin McBride. He returned for an exhibition bout in 2006 before taking 14 years out of the ring and coming back to face Roy Jones Jr in 2020, which ended in a draw.
The initial date for Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson was set for July 20, but the bout had to be postponed when the boxing icon suffered an ulcer flare-up during a flight. He required medical assistance and was told by doctors that he must take a break from training.
The fight will appear on both men’s professional records, despite having slightly altered rules that include two-minute rounds and 14-ounce gloves. Paul is 10-1 as a professional and competes actively, while Tyson’s 50-6 hasn’t changed since that 2005 bout with McBride.
