Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum have reportedly split and called off their engagement. The two actors first met and became romantically involved while working on Kravitz’s directorial debut, Blink Twice, in which Tatum starred. The film released earlier this year, and the couple announced they were engaged in 2023.
Reps for both stars did not respond to The Hollywood Reporter‘s request for further comment.
“I didn’t really know Zoë before she sent me the script [for Blink Twice],” Tatum told THR in August. “I never had met her before — I got a text from Riley Keough, she’s like, ‘Hey, my friend Zoë wants to send you a script.’ I was like, ‘Great, I love Zoë as an actress, I’d love to act with her.’ I didn’t know she wanted to make this thing.”
At the film’s premiere — where the couple also made their red carpet debut — Kravitz celebrated her then-fiancée, telling the crowd, “It’s really very cool to get to make a movie, but when you get to do it with the love of your life, it’s even cooler.”
Blink Twice, originally titled Pussy Island, was a psychological thriller that saw Tatum as Slater King, a tech billionaire who meets cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) at his fundraising gala. He invites her to join him and his friends on a vacation to his private island, where things begin to go awry. Adria Arjona, Simon Rex, Alia Shawkat, Haley Joel Osment, Christian Slater and Geena Davis made up the starry supporting cast.
