Jackson Mahomes has shared footage of himself posing with his sister-in-law, Brittany Mahomes, after a viral video on social media showed him apparently being snubbed by her at a pre-Super Bowl LVIII party.
The Mahomes were on hand to cheer on the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on Sunday, as he and his teammates secured a 25-22 victory in overtime over the San Francisco 49ers at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.
A day before the game, video footage went viral that showed Jackson Mahomes apparently getting denied access to Brittany Mahomes’ table as she partied at an event, which The Daily Mail reported was a Future concert.
In the clip, Jackson Mahomes was seen speaking to a member of the event’s security team, who shook his head at the younger brother of Patrick Mahomes. The camera then panned to Brittany Mahomes, who shrugged in his direction.
Standing in the VIP area of the event, Brittany Mahomes then proceeded to dance as the music rang out in the venue. Footage of the awkward moment has been viewed on X, formerly Twitter, more than 7 million times.
Newsweek has contacted representatives of Brittany Mahomes via email for comment.
However, it appeared that there was no bad blood between the two on Sunday, when Jackson Mahomes took to Instagram to share footage of himself posing with his sister-in-law ahead of the big game.
In one boomerang clip shared on Instagram, a smiling Jackson Mahomes posed for a selfie as he caught Brittany Mahomes and her two children in the background. He also shared a video clip of himself shouting, “How you feeling, red?” The Mahomes family, including Brittany Mahomes, was seen in the background.
