Jennifer Lopez had a moment of self-reflection while having a giddy conversation with “Unstoppable” co-star Bobby Cannavale at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday.
The “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 55, could be overheard telling the actor, 54, “I’m a bad picker,” per video taken by the Hollywood Reporter.
Cannavale appeared to have trouble hearing Lopez at first so she repeated the phrase at least two other times to him, while also laughing off the candid admission. She then says moments later, “It is what it is.”
Having a “bad picker” typically means that an individual consistently chooses the wrong person or has a tendency to pair up with similar types of people who are not right for them.
The “Marry Me” star has been married four times, including to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, the father of her kids, Marc Anthony, from 2004 to 2014 and her latest ex Ben Affleck.
Lopez recently filed for divorce from the “Argo” director, 52, on Aug. 20, which was the former couple’s two-year anniversary of their Georgia wedding.
They had rekindled their romance decades after calling off their first engagement in 2004.
Their official split then came after months of speculation that their marriage was on the rocks, and tell-tale signs such as the fact that the pair was house-hunting separately for new homes.
In May, Lopez gave another subtle clue that she believes she chooses the wrong men for herself by “liking” a post about unhealthy relationships.
The quote explained that one “cannot build a healthy relationship with somebody” who “lacks integrity and emotional safety,” “doesn’t respect your time,” lacks “communication skills,” among other issues.
A source claimed to People in August that Lopez had gotten fed up with Affleck’s alleged mood swings and “erratic behavior,” claiming he’d go from being “incredibly happy” to the “deepest, darkest behavior.”
