Khloé Kardashian might be three years behind her older sister, Kim Kardashian, but health-wise, she’s even younger.
On the season five finale of Hulu’s The Kardashians, the sisters took a blood test to compare their body’s biological ages to their actual ages, with Khloé’s being over a decade under her calendar age of 40. According to genomics doctor, Dr. Matthew Dawson, on the epigenetic clock, Khloé’s “pace of aging is .72,” making her biological age that of a 28-year-old.
Per NPR.org, biological age tests or epigenetic clock tests are based on a process called DNA methylation. Chemical tags called methyl groups latch onto our DNA as we get older and produce a pattern which give researchers an indicator of biological age.
In comparison, Kim, 40, was determined to have a biological age of 34, just nine years younger.
“This is exciting news for you,” Dr. Dawson told Khloé. “There’s a global competition on self-rejuvenation. And right now, you would be No. 7 in the world.”
In the confessional, Khloé joked that Kim was “livid” and “pissed,” which in a separate confessional, Kim confirmed.
